Students will be introduced to specialized packages and techniques for working with humanities data in both structured and unstructured forms. The course will also introduce students to standalone digital humanities tools like Voyant, Gephi and Palladio. The lectures will introduce debates on shapes that data centred humanities research can take through a study of leading projects in the field. Students will also learn about the concepts of creative commons and fair use.
