Brazil and India: cultural, artistic and theatrical dialogues and exchanges​

Abstract:

This conversation aims to be a collective space for exchanges, dialogues and reflections about Indian and Brazilian cultural, artistic and theatrical expressions, based on the historical, social and political contexts of both countries. In this scope, will be presented practices and researches about Brazilian and Indian Theatre developed during undergraduate, master, doctorate, ongoing post-doctorate project and other formations, creations and experiences in collaboration with Brazilian and Indian artistes, researchers, academic, cultural and theatrical institutions. Thus, this talk aims to contribute with the establishment of dialogues and exchanges between Brazil and India, countries with vast and representative historical, cultural, artistic and theatrical movements.

Speaker Bio:
Researcher and artist, with professional experiences in education, philosophy, history, theatre, yoga and trainings, works and practices with different Brazilian and international academic, cultural, artistic and theatrical institutions. Postdoctoral ongoing at the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, PhD in History from the Postgraduate Program in History at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, with an internship at the School of Arts and Aesthetics of Jawaharlal Nehru University in India, master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Lisbon, History graduation from the Federal State University of Rio de Janeiro, theatre direction from SP School of Theatre and yoga instructor from Swami Vivekananda Yoga Meditation School. Researches interests in History, Performing Arts, Theatre Practices and Cultural, Artistic and Theatrical Movements from Brazil, India and other countries.
