CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Description: This two-day workshop addresses concerns to improve the reproducibility and integrity of science. The workshop will begin by asking “what is the replication crisis?” and highlighting notable ‘failures to replicate’ within Psychology, and other social and behavioural sciences. We will then explore the factors involved in scientific practice that could contribute to research findings which do not replicate. Techniques for rigorously interrogating extant research will be provided. The first day will close by inviting participants to complete a pre-registration of their own on the Open Science Framework and conduct analyses on our data in the open-source statistical program JASP. The second day will begin by reviewing the groups results. To conclude we will evaluate how registered reports and pre-prints can enhance your scientific workflow and productivity.

HOW TO APPLY?
The workshop is aimed at PhD students, early career researchers and faculty from psychology, and other social and behavioural sciences. There is no registration fee. To apply for the workshop, please write to gianpsychology@gmail.com with a brief statement of purpose and brief CV latest by 31 MARCH, 2020. Successful applicants will be informed by 7th April 2020.
