The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MG-NREGA) has faced budget cuts in this year's union budget in spite of unmet demand for work under the programme. Technologists, NREGA workers, economists and activists on the panel will
explain how the imposition of inappropriate technology is being used to suppress demand and bring it in line with the allocated budget.
