Kamlesh Singh, Ph.D. (Psychology), joined IIT Delhi in 2004. She is currently a Professor (Psychology) at the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, IIT Delhi. She has published two (co-authored) books - “Measures of Positive Psychology: Development and Validation” (2016) with Springer and “Translational Research and Applied Psychology in India'' (2019) with Sage publishers. She is also the author of the award-winning book “Bhartiya Sandharbh me Vyavahrik Skaratmak manovigyan (2018)”. It was awarded the Rajbhasha Gaurav Award for original book writing in Hindi on Gyan-Vigyan for Citizens of India by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. She has published above 80 published research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals and 14 book chapters. In 2019, she was the recipient of the prestigious ‘Shane J. Lopez Award for Professional Contributions in Positive Psychology 2019’ in recognition for her outstanding contributions to the field of Positive Psychology by the Section on Positive Psychology, American Psychology Association.
In addition to her ongoing teaching and various research projects in Positive Psychology, Kamlesh Singh is also a member of the Council of Advisors, International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA). Furthermore, she has initiated an Indian association on Positive Psychology called the “National Positive Psychology Association” (NPPA; http://nppassociation.org/) with several other experts of Positive Psychology.
