Paroma Sanyal is Associate Professor of Linguistics at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Her research interests are in theoretical approaches to phonology and morpho-syntax. Specifically, she uses the theoretical frameworks of Optimality Theory and Harmonic Grammar for analyzing phonological data and Distributive Morphology and Minimalism for the analysis of morpho-syntactic aspects which are realized though phonological processes in particular natural languages.
