Located on the fifth floor of the Main Building, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Library houses a specialist collection reflecting the main teaching and research interests of the Department. These cover: Economics, Linguistics, Literature, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Cognitive Science and Technology in Society.

The HUSS Library collection consists almost 3000 books and over 150 theses.
The HUSS library is the first automated Department Library of IIT Delhi. Book lending services using computerised issue-return were started from January 27th, 2014 for the faculty, staff and research scholars of the Department. The library uses Koha, integrated multiuser library management software.
The Library offers a quiet study space for students in the department and provides services like printing and internet access through a dedicated computer.
