Located on the fifth floor of the Main Building, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Library houses a specialist collection reflecting the main teaching and research interests of the Department. These cover: Economics, Linguistics, Literature, Philosophy, Psychology, Policy Studies, and Sociology.

The HUSS Library collection consists of 1889 books and 77 theses. The library also subscribes to seven periodicals and magazines:

The HUSS library is the first automated Department Library of IIT Delhi. Book lending services using computerised issue-return were started from January 27th, 2014 for the faculty, staff and research scholars of the Department. The library uses LibSys, integrated multiuser library management software. The collection of the library can be accessed from here.

The Library offers a quiet study space for students in the department and provides services like printing and internet access through a dedicated computer.
