MA CST admissions -- important information

Note that there are TWO entrance pathways into the MA CST programme this year: through a GATE score in any XH subject, and through the Department's entrance examination, which will be held on campus on 17 May, 2026. The last stage of the selection process will be an online interview, to be held later in May.

Of the 25 students to be admitted, 10 students will be admitted through GATE, and 15 students will be admitted through the entrance examination. More details about the entrance examination will be sent to shortlisted students via email.

• Candidates shortlisted ONLY on the basis of marks in the qualifying degree MUST sit for the entrance examination on 17 May. On the basis of their performance in this examination, selected candidates will be invited for the online interviews.
• Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their GATE scores qualify directly for interviews and DO NOT need to sit for the entrance examination.
• Candidates who qualify BOTH on the basis of qualifying degree marks as well as GATE scores, MAY elect to take the entrance examination if they wish.
