HUSS PhD 2026 Entrance Examination Schedule

Timing for the Ph.D. Written Exam on 17th May, 2026

Candidates' exam hall Entry time: 7:00 AM
Document verification: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM
The exam starts: 8:30 AM
Entry to examination room stops at 9:00 AM

All candidates must be at their allotted seat by 8:20 AM.

Please keep your belongings including your phones and watches at the front/side of the classroom.Please ensure that your phones are switched off.

No watches are allowed.

Updated - Provisional Shortlisted Candidates for the PhD Programme 2026

Attention: Those who have applied with a UGC Net for PhD and shortlisted: Only those with a valid UGC NET for PhD will be considered for admission. UGC Net for PhD admission is valid only for one year. This is not applicable to those who cleared NET prior to 2024 and whose card does not mention the validity period.

MA CST admissions -- important information

Note that there are TWO entrance pathways into the MA CST programme this year: through a GATE score in any XH subject, and through the Department's entrance examination, which will be held on campus on 17 May, 2026. The last stage of the selection process will be an online interview, to be held later in May.

Of the 25 students to be admitted, 10 students will be admitted through GATE, and 15 students will be admitted through the entrance examination. More details about the entrance examination will be sent to shortlisted students via email.
